Front wheel bearings

Can someone please clarify which stub axle ie left hand / right hand thread goes on which side. Also how tight to spin by hand should the new bearing be as my newly assembled bearings are extremely stiff to turn by hand.

I agree with Quinny - presumably it is this way because the front nuts are on the inside of the hubs and the rears are on the outside.

Thanks for that. I did some research and came to the same conclusion myself. Someone must have previously messed mine around. As for my new stiff wheel bearings i have realised i hadnt pressed the oil seal in correctly which was therefore causing a bit of unecessary friction. new oil seals and all is well. Thanks very much.
