Yokohama s drive?

Anyone tried a set of Yokohama S Drive tyres on the front of there Griff seem to be the the only choice of tyre in the correct speed rating , apart from Dunlop sp9000s. The Yokos look very similar to toyo T1R in looks at least , Got toyos all round at the mo but cant find toyos in the correct speed rating .

From what my local Toyo dealer said you can't get the correct size 15" toyos with the correct speed rating anymore. I think you can get them in the next speed rating down, but strictly speaking you'd have to alert your insurance company (crazy as you can't drive more than 70mph and the next speed rating down is for up to twice that - yet it's still not aloud!)

I've got the Dunlops on the front of mine and have been very happy with the performance. They're very hard wearing apparently so you'll get lots of miles out of them. The tread pattern isn't as visually pleasing as the Toyos or the Yokos but they'll be better in the wet than R888s I would imagine.

Most insurers are aware that getting the correct rating on a 15" rim is a problem so accept the Toyo as V rated. You need to tell the insurer though.

Tried to get these last Oct when I needed 4 new tyres, they weren't readily available so went with the T1Rs again. I'll certainly be trying the R1Rs next time with the reviews I've heard so far.
