Coolant hoses and pipes

I have been advised that these will need replacing soon
The ACT ones look good
How easy are they to do yourself?
Any pitfalls on a Griff 500?

I'm looking at doing my Griff in the next few weeks, was also going with the ACT set. I'll post a photo log of how it goes. If you do yours before me let me know what you find.

+1 ...Steel coolant pipes looking past their best so am planning on changing to Act Stainless steel pipes and silicone hoses this spring...will be watching with interest

Have fitted them to mine,,, Couple of hours, `Make sure you have more antifreeze for what you loose...

I Fitted ACT silicone hoses to my griff last year, could only get blue off the shelf , not really a problem but would have prefered green but the wait was too long, and found that some of the hoses needed some extreme trimming to fit correctly. Not a problem but it really tests the nerves cutting chunks off many £,s worth of hose. apart from the awkward push and fit angles make sure you use the new hose clips and leave a good half inch of spare.

I fitted a set last year. I ended up trimming most of the hoses - just don't get too trim happy! I was not concentrating and trimmed one to fit the wrong place - tried to fit the hockey stick hose that goes on the engine block to the small pipe off the lower metal pipe as I hadn't spotted the hose onthe block! ACT were happy to advise me and very helpful, despite me being a plonker.

Only thing I'd say would be that bleeding my system completely was a royal pain in the bum. It took weeks to get every last bit of air out of the system afterwards. Don't know if it makes a difference but I changed the thermostat while I was in there, only seemed sensible while it was apart.

Hi long time no speak hope all,s well , very polished but i did not do it , HA HA WILL POST PIC ,S OF ALL ALI BITS INC NEW UNDER TRAY SPOILER,, NOW ALL TESTED

That must have taken a lot of polishing if the state of mine is anything to go by. Look forward to seeing more ali bits Paul, I don't think it is possible to have to many shinny bits!
