Griffith 500 0-100-0 anyone?

Just wondering if AutoCAR or anyone ever figured a Griffith 500 to 100 and back to 0 again. I see 10.something for the 0-100 - has this officially been achieved. Also, on std Ford wheelbarrow brakes what would the 100-0 time be in the dry?

Anyone know?

In the manual it says 0-100 = 10.5secs

I reckon the real overall 0-100-0 time would be about 15-16 secs...

If the T350 does it in 10 sec. a Griff 500 with the ACT/Adams/etc engine upgrade and big brake conversion should come quite close, shouldn't it?

Haven't timed it, but my Griff 500 (ACT/Adams/Etc) feels almost as quick as my Noble, so I reckon 10.something would be about right. From 100 to 130 I reckon the Griff might pull a little harder...

thats zero to one hundred and back to zero again in less than 11 secs.
I still reckon about 15 secs and with the mods I still reckon its not possible to get under 11secs.

But...Id like to see someone with mods try it and prove me wrong

Take the glasses off. The 10.something is just for the 0-100 part, still need to stop after that, so 15 odd is about right. The Caterham would be back at a standstill about the same time we're reaching for the break pedal

Why would a modified 500 be slower than a T350 in this test? It has almost the same amount of power, quite a bit more torque (more important for accelerating) and (modified) the same brakes. All it lacks is the T350's chasis/handling, but that doesn't come into play in this test. Or ?

0-100-0 - Not a very useful measurement of anything - when was the last time on your way to the supermarket you did that - milk on the floor, pizza on the windscreen and sh*t on the rear window. As for the Caterham comparison - well the Caterham's no good for the shopping trip.

Surely even a T350 doesent do 0-100-0 in 10 secs anyway.
I thought 0-100 was 9.5(ish) for the TESCO so its either got feck-off big brakes or its just hit a wall!

Tescos 0-100-0 was 14 seconds flat at the Autocars Test.. see the tescos forum.
would of thought the Griffith wouldnt be much further off that??

Edited to add back in 93 Autocar teste d the Griffith 500 0-100 at 10.2.

I bet that any Griffith's 0 - 30mph is better than that Autocar time recorded by the T350T - what's the use of a great 0-100-0 time if you can't outdrag a Boxsta from the traffic lights?
