World tour

Just completed a world tour of Scotland 1500 miles in 6 days and the griff behaved itself like a dream, for three of the days the roof was off, great motoring and the father north and west you get the more appreciative the people were, only saw one other TVR an old S up near Oban. If you like open fast roads with very little traffic then get up there.
One thing I did notice I fitted a sports exhaust and while the noise is awesome it get a bit tedious at speeds around 80-90 mph might put the main cat back on.
The question now I used in the 1500 miles 4 ltrs of the grossly overpriced Mobile 1 would you say this is normal?
Oh and one more thing take your car up the Glen Coe road you will not be disappointed

Sounds like you had a cracking time, I've never been up to Scotland - perhaps it's time I went... From my experience with the Griff, your oil consumption sounds about right. I'm no authority on the subject but I think you'll find some use more/alot more or less than others

We're going with the Griff in August ... sounds like wew ill be doing very similar areas to yourself Siwes ... really looking forward to it.

Friends have just got back in their 400se who regularly go up and were around Oban and Isle of Skye ... loved it !

4ltr for 1500 miles ..... sounds a bit OTT ... I would expect 2.5 to 3 ... depends on how you drive it though.

Simon, have a look at the ACT tail silencers. They slip over the tail pipes and knock between 7 and 10db off. I've had the straight through conversion on the Chim and bought the silencers at the same time. Tried them out last weekend for the first time on the way back from the Lakes and it made such a difference. All I could hear at 80-85 was loads of wind noise, rather than the ususal bloody loud engine and wind noise. In fact I could almost hear the stereo...
