You need to provide a bit more of clue, is it turning over, is the fuel pump priming everything else working or not etc.

does your fuel pump spin up? if not then immobiliser at fault. have you re-synch'd the alarm?

sorry should have added engine is turning over,fuel pump is working 1/4 tank petrol,sorry i dont know how to sync alarm

OK so if turning over and fuel pump priming you need an assistant to check if there is a spark at the plug end? car only needs air fuel and spark to work one of those is missing. My guess would be spark. so look at distributor cap/arm. are connections on the coil. Has the master HT lead come loose from either the coil or Distributor. Is there 12v getting to the coil. Sorry for random check list. someone more qualified would give it to you in a sensible order

Try disconnecting the battery again, leave it for 10 mins and reconnect it, but reconnect it in one quick movement.
If you had a couple of goes getting the battery terminals connected you could have pissed off the alarm.

If this doesn't do it you should look for a spark.

thanks guy's for the idea's had a look at all conections all ok, the alarm is after market so not sure if it works same as original,the RAC changed a module about 8 months ago may be the same one again will give them a call and get them to have a look

RAC man found problem with starting,now i need help in identifying the cable from at the back of ignition module (three pin) on to side of distributor (two pin) he thinks it may be from Land Rover but not sure any idea's

One of the wires from the amplifier to the coil is broken?

You are not sure which wire goes to which connection on the coil?

sorry if not making problem very clear, what i need to know is what manufacturer supplies the cable from ignition module to the distributor,it has a three pin plug on one end and two pin plug on the other end
