read in a previous post that their Alternator made a rather loud ticking noise??? just a thought.
prehaps a second opinion at another dealer is needed.
Have you tried a search on here??
Hope you get it sorted, theres nothing more annoying than something like that that you cant put a finger on.

they all sound like minor issues to me...
...IF you take the car to someone who knows what they're doing!
pinking will be timing, should be 28degrees.
ticking may be leaky manifolds, gaskets, pre-load, rocker or pad or even tappet. but with the rockers exposed fairly easy to trace.
once these agrovating points are sorted, you can enjoy your car IF you have confidence in the guys who look after it for you.

No these are not minor problems. The ticking could well indeed be the rocker, and if there is that large a gap then there will not be enough fuel getting into the cylinder, which meakes it run lean and therefore pink.
If I were you (budget allowing) I would take the car to someone new who specialising in engine tuning to sort out the problem. depending on the result, you may have some recourse from the supplying dealer. Has it got any kind of warranty?

Sounds like a catalog of disasters alright. I suggest writing a detailed letter to the dealer outlining all of the problems you have had and making it clear, but politely, that unless all of the faults are rectified to your satisfaction by a specific, but reasonable, date, you will be expecting to return the car for a full refund, citing the consumer protection laws regarding items being fit for the purpose for which they were indended, etc.
You may wish to take legal advise on this as well.
It is commonly understood that older cars tend to be less trouble with 'faults' as these will have been fixed by previous owners, just susceptible to wear and tear failures, like any older car.

I'm sorry to disagree starmist, but all of these are minor problems that would be sorted out over a couple of days, under warranty, at a decent TVR dealer...main or not!
you could be unlucky, and have a major issue such as a rocker etc, but changing one is inexpensive and easy to do.
if dizzys are wearing, this may also cause timing probs / pinking etc so the same fault can cause two issues.
edited to say that i don't wish to trivialise your problems, but if the dealer was any cop, you would be enjoying your car already...and the repeat problems which are destroying your faith in the car would never have arisen.
i've had my car for a few years now and have had some problems with it...though nothing thats not been sorted. by talking to the dealer, experts on hear etc i'm confident that my cars top notch now and even when querying that something may not have been "quite 100%" my dealer has always been happy to demonstrate the integrity of their work without concern.
i would add that it HAS always been shown to be 100% in the end.
anyway...its the dealers problem not yours, get it down there and get it sorted.

Fair point, Guillotine. I was thinking more about the number of problems and the dealer's apparent inability to sort them out. Either they don't have the knowledge to rectify the issues, or they don't care enough to escalate the problems to someone within their organisation who can.
Either way, it's not very good customer relations and they should be taken to task over it.
