Servicing recommendations

The time has come for me to get the car serviced and MOT'd, and as I know very little about the TVR network I thought I'd ask first for some recommendations (have done a bit of a search on here too)...don't anyone suggest I get my spanners out. Even if I had time, it would end in tears!

Main requirements are:

1) a place that knows what they're doing.
2) somewhere that doesn't require me to have shares in Vaseline and practice touching my toes when paying the bill.
3) should either be readily accessible from (1) SW London, (2) Sheffield or (3) somewhere that has a decent commuter link of less than an hr into The City (London).

Thus far the following seem like favourites, so if anyone has any comments please let me know (email's fine if the naming and shaming comes into play!).

- Str8Six, Henley (poss a winner if any good as they collect?)
- Raceproved, Sheff.
- RT Racing, Sheff
- The TVR Centre, Hertford.
- Austec, Crawley (stretching it on accessibility)

Hi Murph - I am about 10 minutes from Str8six and use Jason and his team for all my servicing and stuff, on my Griff and previously on my Tuscan. I have found them to be superb - from quality of work, costings and general customer service. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Hi, Austec are good for South West London particularly as they drop off and pick up from Gatwick Airport. They've looked after my Griff for two years and have been excellent. Regards

Hi Murph,

I'm pretty new to TVR ownership but have been using Raceproved in Sheffield for my T350 - They seem very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly chaps so couldnt recommend enough from my experiences so far.

I dont know how their prices compare to RT though...
