Headlight Lens Sealant

I've been looking at the various recommended sealants for the plastic lens in the bonnet as I see there is a very small (1cm?) bit of the sealant loose which I'd like to fix before it gets worse. Most of these are polyurethane based rather than silicon and seem to come in the standard sealant type tubes (for use with a dispenser) which is way over the amount that I'll need - and anything left will no doubt harden up once the tube is opened and finish up in the bin in a couple of months time - so is there a suitable sealant which will do the job and come in a small (toothpaste type) tube?
I have seen Halfords have a sealant which is meant for windscreens and comes in a small tube, but this is silicon based and I'm not sure if that will be OK with the normal presumably polyurethane based stuff - any info/experience would be appreciated.

Later - spoke to X Works, who do the servicing for me, and they managed to fit it in for me this morning while I waited. Heath has done loads of them at the factory so it didn't take him long to strip the old stuff off and completely redo the whole lens. The cost was not a lot different from buying the sealant so all sorted.
