Griffiths at Cadwell Park

Did you know that there will be two Griffs taking on hordes of Tasmins at Cadwell Park on Sunday (9th May)in the Manugistics TVRCC Challenge Cup?
At least half of these Tasmins have had Cossie Turbos dropped into them, so they are a bit more of a challenge.
Should be a good event, but could do with some support from the Griffith camp. For those that can make it you are welcome in the paddock, where we should have a small TVR village set up.
TMS will have their red Griff 500 and ours is the Orange one:
Come and chear on the Griffs, and then pop by for a cup of tea.
Practice starts at 10:15 with racing starting at 12:00.
Cadwell Park is just south of Louth in Lincolnshire. If you haven't been before, its a great track in a pretty setting.

Be careful though, racing is highly addictive. I started with a 4.3 Griff road car, and swapped it for a racing Tasmin. Now I'm back with a proper car!

Don't tempt me! I can't afford to do track days, never mind proper racing!

Ian, its got bugger all to do with a mid-life crisis, just that most of us have reached a stage where we can afford it.
Anyway, I thought buying a road going sports car was the sign of a mid-life crisis.

I wasn't referring to you, just that I could use a mid-life crisis as an excuse to spend money. And it'll take me until I'm in the middle of my life to pay off the existing debts on the TVR!

If you didn't make it to Cadwell:
1. - You are probably drier than the rest of us.
2. - You missed a treat, with two Griffs duelling for supremacy on the sodden track - I think I know where the lake is now at Cadwell!
Apart from the weather, it was a great weekend, with a great show put on by all the TVRs - Racing cars and road cars.
It was great to have TMS there as well, and their paddock setup helped to make the TVR paddock the best looking of the weekend IMHO.
Next stop - SNETTERTON on 30th May. Lets pray for a dry track and sunshine.
I cant wait to have a crack at Paul in the TMS Griff again - hopefully beat him though this time.
I think the Turbo Tassies will be a lot stronger than they were allowed to be in the rain, and with that long straight...........
It should be a titanic tussle, and well worth watching.
Who knows, someone might be able to prevent Marino from getting a gong for the first time in his racing career.
Well done Dave and the rest of Moore Racing for keeping it on the tarmac at the weekend.....oops forgot about Kevan. Looks like another Tasmin will have to die somewhere to donate its organs to #55.

I saw an email from Steve Lewis this morning saying that there will be a couple of classic racing TVRs joining in at Snett. Rumour has it that one will be Jim Baynham. He should be a real challenge, for all of us.
It seems the word is spreading. We are getting closer to the day when we might see the TVRCC Challenge on the same bill as the TVR Tuscans
