Quinny`s griff on the market

couldn`t believe my eyes when I saw Quinny`s griff up on the classifieds today, but understand he has an itch that needs scratching and is looking at an Aston vantage v8 as a replacement.
anyone out there looking to purchase a griff ought to give this some very serious consideration, its a very well known car to all of us on here, kept up together by a true enthusiast, rather than a cheque bok charlie, so a lot of love and pride has gone into looking after that car
hope he still hangs around on here giving out his pearls of wisdom, and catalogue of instructional videos
I`m still waitig on the vid that explains in detail how the hell to get your left leg in the right place in position 73 of the kharma sutra
but with Quinny`s knees I might be waiting a long time!!!!

If that is true, somebody is going to take possession of a well sorted car. If it was a LHD car, I would be tempted to look into buying it myself and importing it to Canada. Hopefully Quinny will keep up with his vids on car repairs but I doubt A.M. will let him anywhere near a hoist with a camera during servicing. His knowledge and vids have been very helpfull with our daughter working (or getting Dad to help work)on her TVR. People like Quinny inspire our younger generation to get their hands dirty working on their own cars and as you all know that is a dying hobby. Our daughter as far as I'm concerned, is more knowledgeable about car repairs and getting her hands dirty on her car than her current boyfriend and I think that their relationship won't last because of it. But whom ever she ends up with, they had better have a good job and deep pockets, a passion to show her TVR off at car shows and have the ability to understand blonde... He (hopefully it will be a he) had better enjoy track days also.
The Spousal Unit and I have looked at the A.M.s while we were looking at the Jags as a replacement for her and we thought both cars were excellent upgrades for her. We are waiting to see if the rumors are true about a new model hitting our shores (from TaTa)as that would be an all around better buy for our use and cheaper but only time will tell.
So scratch your itch Quinny, and I hope you enjoy your choice to the fullest but keep up your videos as I know that without them (and vids from many others) the younger generation will only repair their cars untill their pocketbook can't afford it and then many classics will end up in the junker/scrapper program.

Peter: As I keep hearing on this site, buy on condition,condition,condition. I do believe that there are many well sorted TVRs on the market at the moment (and you must know about atleast one). Since I live across the pond and then almost all the way on the other end of that land mass once you hit our shores, it is the only one that I would even think about buying sight unseen due to his videos. Like I said in an earlier post, if it was a LHD model Quinny and I would be trying to do business on a sale. Reeso said:

So you finally got rid of the Griff - and its in the Kerridges showroom just around the corner from me. B'stard! its torture knowing its there and knowing how close I came to making you an offer for it a few years back. I still think is the best looking SEQ's car is a goodun thats for sure.

I sold my Griff two years ago as I really had need for the 'play' car to be able to act as an emergency family car since I am so far from the nearest town etc. So now into big V8 Mercs, currently running a CLS55 AMG
If anyone wants a Griff at either end of the market/age, I don’t think you will find better examples than Quinny’s (early ish) 500 or (hope you don’t mind me mentioning it in this thread) Reeso’s LE…
Andy has absolutely pampered his by his own hands and Pete has dug deep with dealer servicing and no end of polishing on long lonely nights by himself !!!
