Exhaust System

Can anyone offer some advice on a good stainless sports exhaust system for my Griif 500 year 2000.
The three things in order I am looking for is sound, looks and hopefully a little extra horse power. I have looked at some early discussions and none the wiser. I am thinking a full system would be around a couple of grand fitted, anyone now the best place to start?

For a couple of grand i would expect Gold Plate

£600 should get you a good system in stainless

Cant remember who built mine back in 2006 some firm around Barnsley way

I will post if i remember but I'm sure someone will remember who I'm on about

Where are you ? Fitting will cost no more than £50 if it does bring it to me and i will fit it for that

If you're in Oxfordshire then go see Jason at Str8six he fitted ACT Cherry Bomb to my Griff. Stunning sound and good for the life of the car

ACT's are JP systems anyway and cheaper than going to JP direct. I'm sure mione was £600 ish for the exhasut and that was before they went up due to extortionate steel prices and VAT was at 20%.

Indeed they are Jp exhausts

At the time i wanted something much louder than the stuff they were making for ACT so i had them make me a one off

So did I Paul but still went throug Tim at ACT.

After looking at the options you all mentioned I think its going to be ACT Manifolds with Cherry Bomb pipes. Specialy after hearing Silicone Kids motor on you tube.

The Griff in the video belongs to Wildfire it used to to Tim's ACT development car.

This was back in 2006 and at the time i had no idea of the connection with tim's place Paul

I have no Axe to grind with Tim or ACT

It's probably a bit late, but I used an Edelbrock SRT silencer and had pipework made to suit. The back section is 2.5" all the way to the silencer and the front section is 3" all the way to the manifolds. I can only describe the sound as distinctive.

Apparently, my car could be identified amongst all the cars at the Growl last year from sound alone. I still don't think it's that loud!

Here's a small picture before it was fitted to the car. As ever, the quality of the work is supurb.
