I shouted "Griff" at the gf, but as we were talking about swapping my Chim for a Boxster* at the time she missed it.

*I should add...and also swapping her Audi for a Tuscan

Yup, MrsHobbit and I were just dozing off with that boring bit about the shitty rover thing, when we both spotted it and *GRIFF*

Also..... I might be being picky, but if Clarkson was pelting through Europe so fast as to beat a train, WTF were the camera crew in, that they kept in front, and kept getting those lovely passing shots where they were passing him!!

Love the DB9 BTW!!

Good point, Hobbit. I guess what they did was "cheat" the ending. Clarkson would have had to leave the snapper car far behind in order to beat the train. So, once the snapper arrived at the destination, they recreated the race end for the cameras.

Did you hear them say the next Aston Martin, the smallest one, comes next year in coupe, rear door model AND soft top?!!! Can't wait to see it.

Yup, sure did.... Can't wait either.... I'll be drooling, but, alas, my wallet will not support me in my desire to own one of them....

Awe, come on, Hobbit. Go for it. Remortage the house. Or offer your superb looking Chimaera as deposit. Clarkson quoted seventy thousand. A mere bagatelle. Actually we should put a deposit on one now and reap the rewards of the premium when those with more wedge than sense pay over-the-odds. I wonder if AM will accept my two pounds and a rare vegetarian haggis? "And there more where that came from, laddie!"

Why not... I could have a coupe for the winter, and a rag top for the summer.... (I'd need 2, so that MrsHobbit and I had somewhere to sleep....).... I wonder if mortgage companies need to know that you sold the house, and bought an Aston with the money?

Why thank-you According to the original spec sheet the factory sent me, its "Aston Martin - Aston Green".... so I'm half way there

On Seeing The First Griffith Of Spring

I clocked a Griff on yonder screen,
It's pace was fast, its colour green,
But in a flash, all substance changed,
My eyes were tricked, my brain deranged.
The front was true, its shape sublime,
Its rear came from a distant time.
Some rover dared this intrusion,
A grotesque attempt at British fusion.
Oh Lord,
The result, racer and ugly car,
Is one invention gone to far.
The apparition should ne'er ever be seen,
Twas a "Grover" and moreover, quite obscene.

Top Gear still a good watch, nice DB9 but the overdubbing repeated ten times to often, it sounds great but only in context with what the car was doing at the time.

It was either dark green or black. The reg is something like A 7VR X. I tried to freeze frame the video but it wasn't clear.
Nice to see that the old long haired twat didn't indicate when he pulled out. Perhaps the indicator wasn't working!!!!
Also good to see Clarkson on his mobile whilst driving. Very responsible.
