Obi won

The car now lives in Burnham, Bucks, owned by a chappie called James. I cant remember his surname but he's a regular at our Ace Cafe meet and the Berks TVRCC meet.

I'm sure he wont mind me saying but you'll generally find the car travelling sideways very fast these days - usually in crowded car parks

Incidentally, its soon to feature on our Ace Cafe meet posters and flyers.

I might be able to lay my hands on an email address if you want to make contact.

Hope this is of use.

Hi Obi won,as Matt said i live in Burnham Bucks i have owned your old car for the last 14 months i bought it from Oselli in Whitney Oxon, i had just rewired their workshop and they did me a good deal on the car.I took it to Le Mans last year and had a great time. The only problem i have had is a wear pad come off a rocker, but Steve Howard did a great job of rebuilding the topend and at the same time took out the precats and sleved the silencer,it now sounds great ! In conjunction with Graham Maidlow i have organised the Berks TRRCC jolly to LeMans this year aptly named the "Seriously sideways tour" with 20 tvrs coming along . It would be great to have a chat about the car try to get down to our pub meet on the 18th @ the Swan just off J11 M4 regards James.

Great, Good to hear its still about and being driven like it should!!

I owned the Car for about 6 months but also sold it new as I used to wokr at HH from where it was supplied, I then traded it for a SS Cerbera which I have now sold.

Im in Bristol now so might struggle to get to your meet.

James if youre interested there are some pretty tasty shots of the car in the 1996 (or 97 can't remember) TVR Calendar if you can lay your hands on one. ( I have one but unfortunately its not for sale!!) I'll see if I can find a link for you to get one.

Glad to know youre still enjoying it. Im probably going to get another now as I miss the hooligan element too much!!!!!!!

just tried HS Productions for the calendar ( Hans was the original photographer & manufacturer of the calendar) but his site seems to be filled with animated chickens now - bizarre!!

Perhaps someone else can help

Obiwon,

if you study the picture carefully you'll actually see that he's in fact travelling sideways at that point towards the cerbera ! All four wheels fell off about 30 secs later.

(sorry james - I cant resist it, do come back mate and give us some more entertainment. it wasnt the same without you last week)

Trust me the car is well used to it - I once dropped a frind off for her driving test and span it on its nose in the test centre carpark into a space ( almost) she failed!!

I think I spent most of my time driving it with my arms crossed!!
