Here's a weird one, if I leave my Griff for a couple of days the battery is dead, So far
New alternator
New Battery
Check for current leakage 0.28A till the Courtesey light delay goes off then 0,08A going to the alarm, so nothing wrong there.
When it's running it's charging at 14.6 volts, I really don't know where to look next
Any ideas guys

Have you tryed putting the meter on the battery and one by one removing the fuses / relays, so as to be able to isolate which circuit is the problem?

Is that at idle or when driving?

The reason I ask is that I recently heard of someone with similar symptoms and it turned out that the 100 Amp fuse, although intact, had poor connections resulting in the battery charging OK at idle but not when under power.

I think you might have something there the fuse had corroded through so I've joined the cables maybe they're not cconnecting properly..... I'll check it
Thanks loads Gordon

100amp fuse would be my guess too. You should make them a service item and Steve Heath sells a better version that for mine has meant no issues.

Any corrosion will just cause, then the housing distorts and it gets worse and worse.

It would be worth doing a reading across the battery once the engine has started, so you should see the voltage rise as it starts to charge. 14.5 volts on the alternator does not mean its reaching the battery- back to the 100 amp fuse methinks...

These cars have a voltmeter in the dash, on the measuring battery voltage????
Mine doesn't . . . I know it's not the regular Griffith, but they didn't see fit to give the SE's one. Don't need one either and glad it's not there to clutter up the dash hehe

Ha, think I've found it. I had an accumate hard wired in the boot done by the previous owner which was drawing 45 mA so now the current draw is 45 mA with the doors closed and alarm armed.

Hi, could you please explain in dummie language what that means? My car has the same symptoms, so would be interesting for me to check...

Thanks,...

The accumate has a disharge recharge cycle when connected to the battery, if it's not plugged into the wall it only discharges, I have got another charging problem now though my electrics are "pulsing" in time with the engine revs, lights flashing and heater fan pulsing like there's something shorting to earth with the engine rocking
