You need a more aggressive cam to push you over the 300 mark it seems.

I assume you are on the original?

Here's mine..smile

The graph suggests my fueling is crap and way to rich...but I'd suggest its a spurious reading... I'm averaging 28 mpg, car doesn't smell of fuel, and at a recent MOT it nearly passed a cat test.... With no cats fitted.hehe

This is supposed to be the torque figure, but again, my old griff had 326ft/lbs, so I know what that feels like... There's no way this car has the same torque as my old one....nono

According to that dyno yes it would seem so but according to the TVR Power dyno I had 309 two weeks ago. confused The figures did seem a little lower across the board this year compared to last year. Either way the car drives very nicely, has a nice flat torque band and has more power than I have talent so I will not be in a rush to spend more on further power.

Still on the original cam, car has done 47k so it might need replacing at some point in the not too distant future judging by others experiences of the TVR500 chocolate cam. smile

They all seemed down apart from the precat 4.3 that made 268 or 278?

I was watching for quite a while. They were having quite a bit of trouble with tying the cars down adequately. Therefore getting insufficient downward pressure on the rollers.
Might explain some of the results. Might not.
I am not an expert, but did do A level Physice just before the Boer War.

I have been in Quinny's car. Mine has 330 torques. If his has less than 400 then my name's Mary and I was made Pope in 1853.

Mine (430BV) was 268 which is a good 10 down from last year.
Its a level playing field so if one is down so are the rest.
No room for excuses.

Great figures. My bhp (ocean haze) was nearly 280 last year but 340 torque which I dont believe (315 the year before). My fuelling isnt right so some work to do. Target 300 bhp and 350 torque with minimal work.
Which one was yours - lots of precats this year which is briliant,

Mine wasn't down as it has gained nearly 40 bhp's since the last time I went on the rolling road at the Growl back in 2008! smile

Mine showed 446 brake and 368 lbs/ft, that was with a fair bit of wheel slip, in fact the boot lid was covered in small bits of rubber after the run. When tuning the engine it pulled 478 brake and just over 500lbs/ft that was with 45 psi rear tyre pressure and 50 gallons (500lbs) of water in the boot, so unless the wheels grip the rollers consistently the numbers will vary.

I have seen the Phazedmobile make 357 bhp on a proper rolling road, one we all trust.
My own car read 300 bhp on that same RR, and i was not a little disappointed. I expected around 330.
I am not 100% convinced about portable rolling roads.
They stick a lightweight rear wheel drive car's arse up in the air and expect to get accurate readings.
The first RR I took my car on was flat, and 3 of us had to sit on the boot to get proper readings.

Don't forget Jools tweaked the map since then and got about another 10 bhp!
