Following on from a nostalgia-inducing thread on SELOC (Lotus forums) I was wondering if my lovely Mini Cooper S Works is still out there and going strong.

I forget the name of the chap I sold it to but I know he has posted on here before.

Do get in touch if you're out there. I loved that car so much and would really like to know how the wee lad is doing.

Hello Tim,

I was the original owner of Wilf, having got him at the Rover dealer in Chiswick in 1998.

In fairly short order, I took him to John Cooper to get the S Works conversion, as well as some cosmetic improvements.

I foolishly sold him to them in 2001 when I bought a new Merc, because money.

I will tell you that if he comes on the market again, to expect an auction, as he was one of the finest Minis that I’ve ever seen.

Wow! Great to hear from you, wouldn’t it be great if he was still out there. I would certainly be a bidder for that auction if he was.
