Can anyone help please? Guru are you there? I've had an oil leak which seems to be around the timing chain cover area because oil seems to be at the bottom of the gasket so I stripped it down and replaced the pulley seal and the gasket also using gasket seal. It's back together now and oil is still showing at the bottom of the timing chain cover. Any ideas what I can do to sort it out. I recently had a gearbox overhaul if that means anything.
I'm racing on Saturday and testing on Friday so need to get sorted quick.
Thanks in advance.

could well be the rubber seal between the gearbox and the block in the area of the main bearing cap.

Gasket between front plate and block?
Cover been mdified at all?, could be porous.
As above but the chain has ground through cover?
Cover holes proud of the mating surface due to overtightening?
The threaded holes in the front plate not flush due to them being pulled out when overtightening?
Pot joint throwing oil up onto this area?
Do you get the feeling I've been there too?

Mine is the oil being blown out of the breather ...... engine still not out...

Maybe a distorted timing chain cover caused by levering against it to remove the bottom pulley, or simply a split gasket caused by slightly overtightening the cover plate bolts - so easy to do! The torque for those bolts is really very low - like only 6lb/ft for the 1/4" ones at the bottom. My torque wrench won't go that low, so I just lightly 'nip' them up.
