Thought i'd treat her to a full custom re-spray and lots of new shiney bits, nice new wheels and new seats.

Some engine mods too, LCB manifold, twin carbs, skim and polish and port of the head.

Got her running but missfire on 1&2 cyilinders.

Thought nothing of it at first put it down to carb set up.

We're now 2 weeks in to just Tuning the carbs........

Got fed up and put the single carb back on expecting this to solve the problem..... NOP!

Compression 120 psi on all cylinders.
Enough fuel,
Good strong spark
Valve clerance spot on
Timing bang on

Done my base settings on both sets of carbs 8 - 10 flats etc, etc....

Thought i'd sloved it, not misfiring on 1&2 now i put the single carb back on..... oh wait its now missing to 3&4 now WTF....

loosing patientce now

HELP ME PLEASE SOMEONE PLEASE..

If I ever have a misfire, the first thing I change is the condenser in the dizzy.
However a misfire on my newly rebuilt engine was traced to a duff spark plug. It looked perfectly OK, but the problem was only solved by putting in a different plug.

This is part of my problem, i have already replaced the coil, leads, rotor, condenser, plugs, dizzy cap, points maybe a faulty new part?

Will re-place some parts again and see if its different.

Many Thanks

Lead from coil to dizzy?
Rev counter?
If it's missing I suspect electrics rather than fuel
Alternator creating some strange shorting effect, will it run with the alternator disconnected?
12V electrics - 6 V coil?
Are the new bits actually ok, new bits may be faulty
Sorry clutching at straws have you tried to run it in the pitch dark to see if there are any shorts on the leads etc (tracking and sparks show up better in the dark)?
