Im looking to get some spacers and extended studs for my racer to widen the rear track a little and fill out the arches. I also notcied that the wheel nuts on the front are only grabbing the first few threads of the studs before tightening. Can the extended rear studs be used on the fronts also?

cheers

Wouldn't really recommend spacers especially those with stud extenders, lethal and difficult to set up right too (learnt a LONG time ago)
Re the nuts and threads - yeh I have noticed that too and am adding longer studs to my shopping list
Hell, this money pit keeps deepening

My old 1400 had drums with cast in spacers. I reduced unsprung weight by replacing them with standard drums with spacers using the same studs, so I can't see a problem with spacers.

The spacers are fine as long as you buyt the proper ones with extended studs.

Anyone know if the rear studs are the same as the fronts?

Longer studs ok but stud extenders (screw onto the existing stud) NO

If you look on the Mini Spares web-catalogue, you'll see a good range of studs with lengths to suit all applications. No doubt Richy will be along to quote all the lengths available.

i ran the spacers with the screw on extention studs for years on my old minis. as long as they are fitted properly and checked often there is nothing wrong with them. but race spacers and longer studs is the best way of doing it

The OP said it's a racing Mini and from memory the scrutineers will not accepr stud extensions, only 'proper' studs are allowed.
Check the 'Blue Book' for more info.
