[advert]We are delighted to be able to offer for sale this stunning Mini, which has recently had over £50,000.00 spent on her to make her unique. There are to many custom options to mention, but some include a bespoke bar to the rear lugguage compartment, Hide Button Hole Upholstery Seating, Crushed Velour Headlining, Lambswool Over Rugs, Split Rim Mini Lite Style Alloy Wheels, 4 Additional Driving Lamps, Bepsoke Paint Finish, Burr Walnut Veneer Dashboard, Aluminium Door Handles, Bespoke Hi Fi System. Only 15,000 Miles since it was delivered to its first owner, very few of which have been covered since its stunning makeover.[/advert]

Why dont i believe this has cost 50k.....

I have been round minis a while and always have taken an interest into getting back into one. But adverts like this make me laugh. Wondered if anyone else cuold do the numbers to see if they could get to 50 grand.

Hertiage shell - 3k
prep & spray - 4k
wheels & tyres - 2k
Interior - 4k
Engine & Gearbox - 4k
Glass - 1k
Brakes - £600
Other bits - 3k

Total - £21600

So where has the other odd 30k been spent?

Ypu could add a labout charge of, say, 250 hours at £50 per hour, there is another £12,500. It does take a long time to assemble a complete Mini and I know that my rally car took a total of over 400 hours all-inclusive. Of course, £50 per hour may seem high and most Mini specialists don't charge that, but some certainly do and with the quality inferred by the ad £50 per hour could be right.
