Just a quickie..

My mini has the 1275GT Disks fitted. Is the Metro turbo 4 pot caliper upgrade just a simple matter of swapping calipers out? Or do other parts have to be changed?

Thanks in advance & merry a christmas to you all!

The callipers are a striaght swap and bolt directly to the hubs. You will also need a pair of the thicker vented discs and pads as the standard mini disc is solid. Hope that helps

If you have 10" wheels, they won't fit over the standard Metro 4 pot calipers.

IMHO it's not worth bothering with the 4-pots. What you need on a light car like the Mini are better pads and better brake fluid.
On the 1990 Cooper Endurance Rally Car I built for the 2004 Lombard RAC revival I used the 8.4" solid discs and Mintex 1177 pads which I got from Questmead in Rochdale. I also used AP600 racing brake fluid and the brakes never faded once, although the discs got red hot. That use included long tests on tarmac with very extensive use of maximum braking effort.
I did do a full caliper re-build when preparing the car, however.
