Brake Bleed Sequence - Single Circuit

The haynes manual shows bleed sequence of single circuit as n/s front first, then o/s front, then n/s rear. I guess that must be right, it is haynes after all. I assumed you would start at the back?

Whats the reason for the sequence and how critical is it?

Oh yeah, ive got 4 pots on the front wih a bleed nipple each side, any sequence to be observed here?

I've always done them front first, but others do the back first.
One common problem with bleeding the Mini's brakes is that when doing the rear you have to undo the bleed nipple before starting to push the pedal down. If you don't, the pressure limiting valve can deploy and shut off all fluid flow past the valve then the air doesn't get out.
