Distributer Connection Question
Discussion
I have a 1275 mini which I am building up from a box of parts at the minute.
It has a metro engine and the electronic switch on the side of the distributor has 3 small terminals in a row. I believe these are normally connected to the positive and negative terminals on the coil, but which two of the three terminals do I use?!
Thanks
Nick

Trial and error? I might get shot for saying that! It has a metro engine and the electronic switch on the side of the distributor has 3 small terminals in a row. I believe these are normally connected to the positive and negative terminals on the coil, but which two of the three terminals do I use?!
Thanks

it should have come with a plug and leads on it! memory (unreliably) is telling me that there were 3 pins on the module but only 2 are used, 1 going to each coil terminal! try looking it up in the metro or mini haynes manual, especially an older one! they seem to have lots more information in them!
i always prefer points and condensor, its easier to fault find with those!
