I have a ongoing battle with my electrics in my 30 year old mini 1000...

1st - Indicators, The problem is they don't flash! I have replaced the flasher unit relay and cleaned all the connectors, I'm getting 12v to both sides
sometimes they do start flashing after a while of being stuck on for a bit, but very sloooowwwwwllllllyyyyyyyyy.

Bad neutral/earth??? if so I can't find it?!

2nd - Wiper motor, My wipers work fine unless they have to wipe water off the windows?? They just get stuck half way, I took the whole lot apart yesterday, cleaned the motor out re - greased all the moving parts and cleaned the contacts to the coil inside the motor...
Motor works fine. again until you attach the wipers to it, Its like it just doesn't have the balls!!

Again it's getting 12v's on both 1st and 2nd stick positions (speed), Orange/Green and Blue/Green have 12v and Neutral has little resistance to chassis

Again any ideas, as always greatly received

1. Check the Hazard warning light switch these tend to fail and the indicators are fed from this.

2. Sounds like your 1 or both wiper boxes are stiff or seizing, strip em down clean and re-grease, you should be able to feel the tension when they are disconnected from the cable. They should move pretty freely.

Other than that the motors on its way out.

Try Mini mail they stock both 2nd hand wiper boxes and motors.

Sorry this ain't going to be too much help but mine does this too.
Plus at the minute, breath hard and whilst the lights all work, the indicator warning lights flash right when the actual indicators flash left and left when they flash right. Still as I am living 400 mile from it and it is just collecting dust at the moment......

Connection to the indicator stawk is on upside down or the flasher units in backwards

ETA Or entirely plausible the wiring has been messed with and needs correcting

Or I had hit one too many potholes, concrete ramps and big lumps of rock on a rally a couple of year back.....nothing worked properly after that
