Hi again Guys,
I have just changed my mini Verto clutch for a genuine BMC unit from Mini spares...
This is the second attempt as the first Cheepie would`nt clear and also vibrated...???
So,As stated i purchased a genuine unit....I have torqued up ALL the bolts/Nuts to the specified torques....And,I`m experiancing some vibrations at around 1500-2500rpm`s.
I just cannot work out where the vibrations are coming from as the pressure plate was balanced the exact place as the origional pressure plate....The unit was placed in all the correct dowels ect before tightened and the pressure plate was clamped/Torqued down using the opposite tightening sequence to make sure the plate was pulled down square....
Ever come across this problem guys.....????
Thanks in advance....Kevo.

is it a resononce or a judder that you can actually feel?

when you assembled the clutch did you bolt the presure plate up tight with the flywheel off the crank or did you leave it finger tight and nip it up when it was on and torqued up.

Also was your crank ok? or was it chewed up?

Hi guys,
I have changed the complete clutch assy 3 times now in total...Every clutch even the genuine Rover item was out of balance and the last one was not only out of balance but the pressure plate would`nt clear no matter how much i set the clutch throw...
Anyway,I thought blow to this lark and re-fitted the origional item (Only removed becouse of thrust bearing seals going)...And.Now everything is as smooth as silk with no vibration what-so-ever....
Whats wrong with modern engineering these days.....?????.

Thanks for all the responces..I appreciate them all as always.....
