Engine Upgrade? help!!!

Im currently driving a 998cc mini City E that has been given the usual wider arches and nice wheels etc,
but i feel that 998cc doesn't do the looks of the car justice,
i have read a few things about engine conversions etc, but im having problems finding the right motor, is there anywhere other than Ebay?? or does anyone know of a motor for sale?? also what would be the best engine to get on a budget?

It depends on what you want to spend. I've just acquired a couple of standard 1275 A+ block, crank, piston assemblies for rebuilding and have several suitable head castings.
A rebuilt ready-to-install 1275 done properly is not cheap, but would give the right result.
