If it definitely coming from around the pedal.

Could be friction, a bearing failure or air in the hydraulics.

Suggest you put some lithium grease on the pivot and see if it goes away.

I've had 3 minis, they all had a sqeaky clutch. I assumed it was a feature? :P

hi there i hade same problem on my mini and also on my brothers mini the problem is the clutch realeace bering is dry and is coursing a squeek when you foot takes the presure of the cluch hope this helps

try spraying some duck oil at the return springs attatched to the pedal pivot shaft,its inside the car up under/behind the steering column,
