Anybody know when LR plan to replace the Freelander 2? Just need to know if its 12 months or 3 years+ as it will help me decide what I go for next.

Car came out in late 2006/2007 so 2013 on seems about right. Plus it has just been facelifted so that'll be another couple of years of life.

Because a lot of people don't like buying cars that are soon to be phased out as if they waited they would get newer tech, fresher looks and a slight benefit come resale. Obvious really.

Sounds a bit image conscious tbh. There is always a new model on the horizon, most car makers won't highly advertise this fact as people wouldn't buy the current model.

If image is such an issue, buy one now maybe used 6 months old and trade in for a new one as/when it's released.
