Any deals on Vogues?
Discussion
0% is only on the 5.0 supercharged model and I was told to order one to spec 6 to 9 months is the waiting time, dealers are no longer receiving the big registration bonus that they use to get and from what I here the 4.4 TDV8 is in short suppl new, I would be interested to see what deal you get as I would like to replace the wives car in September

They have been running that one on and off for a long time I think. Though I am sure the the down payment used to be half the car's purchase price, instead of 60% as it now appears to be. Perhaps they are less confident about future values in light of the new model release?I think it's the case with all cars. Quite a few finance companies have been suffering with the fact that now the regs say after you have paid 50% of the finance off you can simply hand the vehicle back, during the recession that's what's been happening.
I think the 60% deposit is based on list price, not the price you actually buy it for. The Rangies is a bit long in the tooth now.

I agree the Rangie has been about a while. I may decide to keep my TDV6 Vogue, there's nothing wrong with it, it's just approaching 5 years old so I am looking at the matter.I think the 60% deposit is based on list price, not the price you actually buy it for. I also quite fancy having the DVD screens in the headrests - which is an optional extra I know.
I have to say though that when I looked at a Vogue in LR Nottingham on Friday I thought the car looked like it had been build down to a price. The leather was nowhere as good quality or as good a fit as on my 06 car. The Vogue SE was better but the one I saw had ivory perforated leather... and I have children... who like chocolate....
Well, it seems that there are some deals on Vogues.
The conversation seems always to start with a monologue about how there are no cars about, and then turns to the one car that they seem to be able to magic up and upon which a modest discount can be arranged.
It is almost as if Mr Tata has sent an Indian market trader over to train the franchises on sales techniques, though I have yet to hear the phrase, "for you my friend I do very good price".
Anyway, I suspect that within 100 miles of Nottingham there is a LR dealer somewhere who is keen to shift an extra unit. I have two quotes but need two more.
It needs to be:
TDV8
Anything but green or white
Style 11 wheels
Mats
Muds
Hard plastic boot liner
Ideally DVD with screens in headrests, but I can retro fit so it's no biggy.
New or recent pre-reg, not a demo.
If anyone knows of such a franchised dealer and car I'd be interested to know. I will do the deal before June 30.
Many thanks guys.

the wheels/mats/muds/liner can be purchased separately - so should not affect your choice of carThe conversation seems always to start with a monologue about how there are no cars about, and then turns to the one car that they seem to be able to magic up and upon which a modest discount can be arranged.

I was chatting with my ex-BIL yesterday and he use autoebid to buy his Freelander. All the dealers he had spoken to said "no more than 2-3% off" and he got 10% off in the end via the site from a main dealer who added his order to a fleet deal.
