Hi.

This is my first time in the LR forum and I hope you can help with a small question.

A friend has just emailed me as they are struggling to hook up their iPod with their Range Rover Sport. As I am their only friend who is "into cars", I have been asked to help. Apparently there is a section in the manual about auxiliary bits and pieces but they didn't have any joy searching for the socket. (Their words)

Before I go over there later in the week to have a look-see, does anyone know anything about this which might be helpful?

Thanks in advance.

Go to www.rrsport.co.uk and use the search function.

I just tried it and seems to be a few useful threads.

Thanks for the link. I wouldn't have known where to begin looking.

On my 2006 RRS, there is a line-in jack under a small lift up panel on the rear of the centre console, you plug the ipod in with a standard 3.5mm male to male lead. Use the Aux function on the head unit, ipod volume up to max and away you go. No way to control it from the car buttons other than volume, basic but functional! If you they have sat nav and use the ipod, it'll get very loud when directions are given so better warn them.

Thanks.

My forum trawl had come up with the rear aux socket. It seems strange to have one in the back but not the front.

Hi
I am struggling to find the flap on the rear console which hides the auxiliary plugs, is this because I have rear entertainment package and therfore should plug my Ipod into the AV out on the Video screen? The manual says that there is a pull up flap but I just can't see it. Going mad!!!
thanks Coops
