Hi All

I am still wrestling with the question of whether to chop my TDV6 Vogue for a new Vogue. Honestly I am struggling to justify the additional cost. However, I have not considered fuel economy and running costs.

Has anyone had both cars and done a real world comparison of the running costs?

Thanks for any advice on this.

If you are referring to a TD6 Vogue vs a 4.4TDV8 Vogue ? The TDV6 is in the Range Rover Sport.

I have a 3.0 TD6 Vogue, and recently borrowed a 4.4 TDV8. I'd say the 4.4 achieved approx 25% better MPG over exactly the same cross country journey. The 8 Speed gearbox, and the fact the engine doesn;t have to work as hard i assume.

Yes, sorry, superfluous "V". So how many MPG do you think the V8 managed?

2010 TDV8 4.4 has done 16k from new and has averaged 24mpg (75% motorway miles). The old TDV6 was 20mpg ish.

I do 12k miles per annum. The fuel saving is not going to offset much of the depreciation.

6k miles on our MY11 4.4 tdv8 and we're averaging 26-27mpg, mixed driving.

I'm sure the claimed 30mpg is possible, but you would have to be driving like an old man.
