Disco 3 Advice

Hi All

Bit of a change needed and thinking of trading my MK2 Focus RS and Mk1 Freelander in for 1 car, I Have always had an eye for a disco 3 when they came out. I have seen a really mint condition 3 HSE on an 55 plate with 48000 miles. Is there anything i should be looking for as i will be taking her out for a spin at the weekend.

i will use the car around the farm and some offraoding with my mate in his defender so do not really want to ruin a new one

If you can find a later one then they are often less troubled with gremlins? I have an 07 and its been pretty much trouble free for 4 yrs.
The troublesome areas include the electronic parking brake and the suspension - the latter being expensive. Do you need the toys in an HSE? An SE, XS etc will be better value.

Disco3.com has heaps on issues etc, post 06 the build quality is meant to be vastly better.
