Hi All

Looks like we will be buying a new Vogue this week and the choice of cars offered to me so far haven't got factory DVD and screens in the headrests. It will therefore be necessary to retro-fit them. Has anyone experience of this please and if so is there a brand to be recommended / avoided?

Many thanks.

when you say 'new' do you mean brand new from a dealer or 'new' to you? - because afaik there are no 'new' cars in any dealers?

I could take you to one 5 miles from here.

All the dealers are sucking their teeth and saying, "no cars about mate". But when you respond, "shame that, because I want to buy one this week" they can suddenly give you a choice of four.

The market isn't awash with them, but make no mistake there are enough cars about to get a decent discount.

As GC says, I would try to get LR to retrofit the factory screens if possible, or ideally the Ipads from the mega bucks car (can't remember what it's called, the special edition for around £135k). On a new Range Rover you don't really want aftermarket stuff that doesn't fully integrate.

How did you get on with Lookers?

Pleasant chap and keen to do a deal but at present they cannot match the price from a closer LR main dealer. It's not over yet, Mrs Manks might decide that she prefers the colour of the Lookers car, which is only a few hundred pounds more.

I dread to think what a LR retro fit would cost. I think it's £2200 from the factory, I bet its more like £3k retro.

be careful if fitting 'independent' screens/player as it may void your warranty?

worth trying some of the lr/rr breakers who may have some available
