Water in boot

I had water slushing around in the space beneath the spare wheel of my RR 07 tdv8. I tried to look for earlier posts regarding that subject but could not find any. Any ideas where this could come from. ?

Things stashed around the spare wheel in our L322 got a bit damp, but only after driving in and out of very deep water a few times to clean some mud off the car.

Have you been wading or in deep water, or is it leaking in from above somewhere? I've not heard of any common issues with door or boot seals.

The only thing i can imagine is that we have had extremely heavy rainfall so the water must have come in from above - but there are no signs on the boot cover.

Common problem and if the leak is not repaired it can cause expensive electrical problems

That is what i fear - however i cannot find the leak so was wondering whether there were any obvious places - or indeed whether the dealers knows about them.
