Wonder if anyone can help with this. The cargo area of a Disco3 in 5 seat mode looks pretty big. But is it big enough to get a road bike without a front wheel in (I'm thinking of the frame being upright, resting on the front forks and rear tyre, pointing in the same direction as the car)? Or does part of the second row of seating have to come down?

I have a Disco 2 rather than a Disco 3 but there is absolutely no way you could do what you're suggesting in the Disco 2 and I can't believe the 3 is significantly longer in the luggage compartment.

Cheers. Do you think it is doable if the second row of seats is flattened?

You can do it in a range rover l322, it was one of the main reasons for buying ours. Can get two bikes loads of luggage and still have one rear seat

Would have thought it possible for disco 3

I have a D3 and find it a pita for bikes!
Putting the tow bar on etc just takes for ever.
Its too tall for easily putting them on the roof.
Putting them in the boot - from memory I can get one in with just one wheel removed (with seat 6 and 7 down) but to get any more in I need to put at least one seat down in the middle row or remove both wheels from both bikes.
My bikes are reasonably pricey bikes and I would rather have them in the car behind the privacy glass.

Cheers. Exactly what I needed to know. Even if I didn't want to hear it. irked
