Hello all, 2003 range rover td6 had a flat battery, charged it up and now the remote locking doesnt work, the ignition key will turn but the car doesnt crank and no dash lights or nav etc comes on!!! I have checked fuses and tried a hard reset to no avail, it isnt the battery as even with a jump pack on it will not work. checked all the earths and the live wires too and from battery and in rear fuse box, all seem ok, Any ideas as i'm starting to lose patience with it now frown

Much appreciated

There's a bit in this section of rangerovers.net about how to change the battery without losing power & a warning
"The basic point to note is that on late model Range Rovers including the L322, disconnecting the battery sets loose all kinds of havoc and takes a while to reset everything afterwards; hence the advice to connect another power source during the operation."

Not a lot of help as to what to do in your position, but they do mention RAVE which is the LR factory manual so gettong one might be an idea.
I also wonder if there has been a spike which may have caused damage - jump starting from another car can cause this.
Have you checked the obvious - wires connected, fuses intact?

ETA Just looked at your info, you're a Land Rover Technician?

Thanks for the reply paintman I've checked fuses etc I'm pretty convinced something's been spiked. Yes I used to be years ago, I'm a bit out of the loop with this sort of thing and it's always nice to have a second opinion or someone to discuss ideas with
