Hi Landy owners! I've just come back to the Land Rover fold.

Previously owner a series 3 and a 90 TD.

Have just bought a 2003 90 TD5.

Its got a gearbox oil leak which I need to get fixed. who would you reccomend in the Southampton/Portsmouth area to look at it?

Where would you reccomend a good forum for a TD5 owner? Normal nerdy Land Rover questions that need to be asked.

http://www.lr4x4.com/ is very good for technical detail. A little too oriented towards the 'challenge' scene, but otherwise good information.

And of course there is always here. smile

Lots of good info on there, but there's one power crazed knob of a moderator too.

Welcome back to the fold and hope you enjoy your Landy. Let me be the first to comment that they all leak, and when they stop it's time for more oil rolleyes There, someone had to say it!!
I think the LRO magazine is pretty good for general advise and they also have a forum.

Thanks everyone.

I'm collecting it tonight and I'm way way over extracited!!

Earlier in the year I bought an AMG Merc, I wasn't excited at all about collecting it.

But today, collecting the Landy I'm like a small greedy child in a sweet shop!

There is another one out there.
I'm not saying what it is so as not to offend (easy enough to Google), but I binned it after too many threads about who had the blackest cat, what your favourite colour curry is and who likes Marmite or not, and if so, toast or bread.
Land Rovers were a distinct after thought towards the end.

Landyzone.co.uk is good, I've found it very helpful for the odd bit of advice when things have gone wrong with my RR and there is a good level of dry humour on there as long as you can take the banter as it is intended! Also a VERY active form, so questions get answered quickly.

hehe Strange isn't it - I think I was more excited picking up my 20 year old Discovery this weekend than my MR2 tongue out

Are those forums good for Disco owners? Or are there any specialist forums (perhaps around Aberdeenshire too?)

Curious, but why spend all that money buying an AMG if you weren't excited about it?
