I have Range Rover L322 2003/53. I have recently changed the radiator to eliminate my sticking geer promlems but I still has slight problems with it. My next task is to replace the geerbox oil cooler and oil. Is this a big job or can it be easily done by myself. If so were is the cheapist place to buy the parts.

Are there any links ot the website to show the taking off and replacing of this part. Many thanks Gra

It is a Diesel? I've got a same age 4.4 and I thought the L322 gearbox was a sealed unit and you couldn't change the oil??

BMW/Land Rover may say it's sealed for life but the box manufacturer (ZF) recommends 60k mile oil change intervals which sounds entirely sensible to me.

Details of oil change on the 4.4 ZF 5 speed box is in the link below:

Oil needs to be LT77141 spec. Original oil was Esso LT77141 (now Mobil LT77141).
You also need the filter that sits inside the sump and the boxes sump gasket.

I'll be doing mine this weekend.
