Classic RR wheels onto Disco 1???
Discussion
Thanks for that.
I'll let him know (my builder).
He bought a set of 5 off fleabay, with tyres - 205/80/R16 Khumo Venture MT. They seem a tad too narrow for the 7" rim, but I suppose they'll be better than the mixed bunch of tyres on his Disco 1 currently.
Nice looking alloys, actually, and at £240 ish iirc, not a bad price.

That was the standard size tyres on the early Disco steel wheels which are 7" rims. But yes they do look a little stretched! I have a set of Disco alloys sitting in the back garden with 205's on. 225/75R16 looks much nicer!

I have a set of Disco alloys on winter tyres that I put on my Classic each winter.
Have you put them on yet? Just wondered as I had mine made up this week (disco alloys and Pirelli Scorpion winters) with every intention of putting them on but it just isn't cold enough!DKL said:

I normally fit them when the weather gets to the point that the last thing you want to do is faff around with changing wheels.
This year I am in no rush. The Overfinch has sold and the 72 is in storage awaiting work so the only boots I'll be putting on this winter will be the Dubarrys
