Which Model Years and Mileage?

I will be looking at getting either a Disco, RRS or FFRR for all round family transport, and will buy from a main dealer with an approved warranty for piece of mind.

I have done some research and believe that:

1. Disco's are better 07 onwards;
2. FFRR are better after 05; and
3. RRS??? - I don't know.

Is this true? if not I would be grateful to be corrected.

Also: is the FFRR worth the uplift in terms of build quality and reliability as I have been led to believe, because I want to get the best car that I can for the money regardless of the model (approx £25k)? and is the TDV8 ok/reliable with higher mileage as compared to the other engine options available (bearing in mind the higher purchase price)?

I don't know the specifics re the model years, they just seem to be the general consensus / rule of thumb when surfing the web on the subject, hence the reason for asking.
