First winter with my FL2. It's an auto, and I've never driven an auto in the snow either.

Any tips?

Specifically, should I be using the "Snow" Terrain Response setting for general driving or is that intended for "I'm in a foot of the stuff" scenarios?

Just be lighter on the throttle.

Snow mode will up the traction control response and soften the throttle response so less likely to spin the wheels.

With the FL just drive it like a normal car in snow, less revs brake gently and early. The 4wd will help with traction over a normal car but no "real" advantage with braking.

Use the snow mode when there is snow on the tarmac rather than a clear road.

"Grass, Gravel & Snow" - AKA - "Slippery conditions"

Stick it in that mode whenever you want, it won't do the car any harm. If the road conditions are slippery, stick it in that mode and it will tune the car to best suit.
