Just test driven a MY10 FFRR Supercharged
Discussion
Wow, what a machine. Love the new TFT dash.
It had every conceivable extra inc leather roof lining, venture cams etc. 12k miles, dealer wanted just over £52k for it.
The only 'problem' I had was that it almost felt too fast for the size of it. I'm no stranger to quick cars but this just felt a little bit silly. Could just have been me needing to adjust to a different throttle response from the diesel but I can almost see the negatives outweighing the positives within the space of a few 100 miles.
That said I did just spec up my ideal 4.4 TDV8. It came in at £91k and I didn't really think I'd gone too mad with the extras.
Oh well, time to put on the thinking cap...

I can't wait to test drive one, although I'm currently resisting as I know what I'm like and I'd probably end up buying it!
I know what you mean about the speed though, I thought the same when I saw the 0-60 time, there is a Youtube film of someone doing 255kph in one! Crazy.

I will own one though, then the Rangie after that will be a diesel (he says hoping to one day be sensible)
Go on, you know it makes sense!

Really 91K what have you put on it ? Car starts at 69K and I have just put a decent spec on mine and after discussions it came in at 75K.
TDV8 is plenty fast enough for me, actually the car lends itself to not wanting to drive it like its a sports car, power if you need it but mostly for me it makes me want to take my time, relax and enjoy the drive.

Sounds like a good price. Will the warrenty be transferable to you? (assume your looking at this via an indi.)It had every conceivable extra inc leather roof lining, venture cams etc. 12k miles, dealer wanted just over £52k for it.

They can go higher than that.
I am also expecting the new model to be £85-125k.
I just specced up the currect FF S/C and it was £101k and that didn't include the electronic side steps which is not an option online, they would probably add another £3-4k.I am also expecting the new model to be £85-125k.
I agree with your £125k figure, that's the price being banded about for the current FF 'Ultimate' edition. Ultimately LR are tryng to push the FFRR further into real luxury territory. An Evoque is over £50k specced up so there is room to push the higher end cars into a higher price bracket.

The Ultimate has been sold out for a while. I presume that it was a test to see if the market would support a £125k RR, apparantly it does. This could potentially bode well for used MY11/2 4.4 TDV* used prices. (I hope so as I was just bid £50k for my 12 month old FFRR (50% loss).HowMuchLonger said:

Sky high list prices are one thing. Maintaining those prices (without massive discounts), and crushing depreciation, is quite another.

The ultimate sold out with little or no discount. 4.4TDV8s probably have a discount now as dealers only have targets set for them for the next 6months, so it is clearance time. You only have to look at what discounts are offered on new autobiography 4.4's to realise that at £125K they are dreaming.

A £125K version will be no different.
