Best Green RRC on the market at the moment is probably this one;

Am I missing something? Why is it worth that much!?http://graemehunt.com/motorcar/59/1988-range-rover...
And it doesn't even have leather :|
Have to admit for such a run of the mill car, however nice that's alot.
They have the best cars - an Overfinch LSE owned by a member here went very quickly for double that but OF ones are very rare especially LSEs.
I'll be interested to see how that goes.
I suppose if you are in the market for a 4x4 and would by something new 20K isn't such a lot and as long as you look after it it will hold its 20K whereas a 20K X5 or Cayenne won't.
May not be quite such a daft idea but you'd really need to want an old Rangie.

V8 all the way! I have a 1994 soft dash V8 on LPG, I love it - in Ardennes Green, too - sorry!
It's not mint but wouldn't take much effort to get it there - bit of paintwork and few interior trim bits is all it needs. Engine/mechanicals are very good, and there's no structural rust anywhere.

Mine is on air suspension (EAS) which everyone will tell you is a bad idea, but is actually very good. Just replace the airbags when worn and make sure the air lines are ok, if the compressor is worn a rebuild kit costs £100. Does mean you can lower it to access mode, back up to the trailer, then raise it to offroad mode (as pictured top) to hitch it up - simple! And it self-levels, so will keep the car nice and level when towing - much safer than coil springs IMO.

Agreed air suspension is better.
Some have been converted to coils using questionable components, which result in a rock hard ride.
I've heard that too, think when they convert they tend to go for HD or Police-spec springs, which if the car is not fully-laden are too hard - but they want it to ride at the same height as the EAS in offroad mode. Equally, that must be scary as hell at motorway speeds!!Some have been converted to coils using questionable components, which result in a rock hard ride.
