Hello all - last stages of sourcing a Disco 4: any "don't go there" substantive stories or recommendations?

I haven't come accross any 'major' horror stories with the Disco 4, well not nearly as many as previous versions anyway !

Personally I would stay clear of the early 2.7 engine, not that there was any real problems but the later 3.0 is a much better engine and can be had for not much more £'s in later cars.

Get the best spec you can afford, XS or HSE as the basic GS is quite poverty spec when compared, and again can be had for a few £000 more.

Go on condition and FSH and make sure it's not spent 95% of its life towing 3 tonne trailers ! ........... Happy hunting !

We had a D4 HSE Auto for 4 years without any problems apart from a parking sensor. Our D4 is 2 years old in April and it has been faultless.
