I need to fit a security box (for tools etc) into this:

Nothing fancy - something to keep stuff locked away and I have seen a few on ebay/usual suppliers etc but wondered if anyone had recommendation(s)?

Thanks in advance.

Steel ones ... Barebox.co.uk , alloy one mobilestoragesystems.co.uk. I've one of the latter and nicely made. I've read about the bare box ones and seen nothing but good reports .

I made one to fit myself from a few lengths of 3 x 2 and some mdf sheets. Really easy and can be made to spec. Stick a lock on it and you are sorted. I think I spent 2-3 hours max on it.

I built mine mainly because I could not find one the correct width and height. The one I built sits flush with the benches height wise, and was built wide enough to accommodate my Hi-Lift along side it whilst stopping it roll

I have the Mobilestoragesystems chests which fit up to the bulkhead, and the drawer which fits up to the chest and fills the floor space to make a flat loadbay.
They are great quality and their service is excellent

I would go for this option as it doesn't shout too loudly 'I'm full of expensive stuff', unlike some of the high security ones.

The security box issue is academic at present - I've broken the rear door handle and can't open it, but looking forward to more spannering at the weekend trying to fix it!

I used a 'Van Vault' for my chainsaws, loads new and used on Ebay, which is a perfect fit in the well and bolted it down for added security. Got second hand one in perfect condition with two sets of keys for £65.

Thanks for that.
