Hi all,
Sorry if this subject has been brought up before, but is it possible to deactivate the automatic central locking on a Freelander 2 when the car hits 5mph? The manual says a dealer can do it, I just wondered if it was a diy job.
Cheers
Phill

if its like a Range Rover then has to be done via a 'diagnostic tool'

best ask on a specialist Freelander forum try Freel2.com

The Freelander 2 system requires the dealer to configure that option.

don't the 'independent' diagnostic systems allow reconfiguration?

some for example on the Range Rover will allow changes that the dealer systems cannot accommodate?

Either way, it's a plug laptop in jobbie and not configurable from the dash.

Thanks for the replies, got the dealer to sort it today. 25 mins and £38 later, all done. Now it's a lot less annoying and Americanised.
