Insurance for comercial with seats in it?
Discussion
Insurance quotes will depend on age, vehicle age, driving history etc - my 1991 Defender is about £115 per year with Adrian Flux and has a host of mods including rear seats - however when I bought it it has had rear side windows installed and 4 rear side facing seats so appeared to be an 'estate' car already even though the log book says it's a 'utility 4x4'. What was the quote without mods as AF are normally quite good with mods. I think mins is cheaper as the car is old enough to be a classic and also as I'm in an owners' club. Also it's a second car and not my everyday driver - but this also means I don't get any NCB on the policy. Another company to try would be Footman James.
Many thanks, had a phone around and most were £500 - £560. However I remebered Lancaster, I use to have an old MG with them for nearly 20 years and they did me what I thought was a really good deal at £390 so I took it. This is for 5 seats as 7 seats means the company they use wouldn't quote.
I'll have a phone around in plenty of time next year and also keep asking around. Many thanks again
Might be worth trying Lancaster for your older land Rovers especially if they are not your main car. Another company I was with when I use to have a TVR was Hagerty, again if its not an everyday drive worth a try
