Possible Heated seat problems Discovery 4

Hi all.
I was wondering if I might ask all you good people for a bit of advice although I might be jumping the gun a bit.

Incidently I work offshore and am away at the mo.

We have a 3 week old Discovery 4 2012 MY and Iv'e just got off the Phone to the Mrs who said she could smell a burning smell today when she had both heated front seats on.

Last week, before I went offshore, I had both on and didn't notice anything so I have asked her to try each in turn tomorrow and see if the smell returns. If so she will contact the dealer to get it sorted.

My quick question is has anybody else had a problem like this on the Disco 4?

We have had our D4 for 2 years and not experienced this problem or any other. Try posting on www.disco3.co.uk.

Had mine for 6 weeks now, used the heated seats on numerous occasions, with no smell.

You're sure it's coming from the seats and not exhaust/engine compartment as these can be covered in wax etc and is just the smell of a new cars 'newness', if that's a word ?

Spoke to the Mrs last night and shes had both seats on and not smelt anything since.
Prob just a one off or as someone said "The Newness Smell".
She will keep an eye on it over the next week or so before i'm back.

weve had a few new Landrovers have almost burn like smells when the heated seats have been first used.. always seems to stop once been used once or twice, i would put it in with your 'new car smell' lol
