Just though it would be worth mentioning as a note to all disco3/4 owners that I had hydro (?) bushes replaced on the front of my disco 3 and it was covered under the extended land rover warranty.

Basic criteria being the vehicle needs to be under 60k for them to honour the claim, luckily i've only done 55k.

The symptoms were a knocking noise from the front end at low speed over small bumps and a knock when initially braking!

Good to know. I've just hit 43,000 and started noticing a knock over small bumps so I think a trip to the dealer is in order.
I've also noticed cracking on the outside of the seat squab where the leather has cracked, anyone else had this?

I've just had my front lower wishbones done, one bush at least was knocking.
Warranty Direct have agreed to pay towards replacement, this is with the Extracare policy.

Car is now at 62k

very common for these bushes to fail long before 60k, easy to diagnose, at slow speeds dab ur brake pedal on and off ul get a clonk with each brake pedal press...

Perfect description, exactly that,

got me wondering if there are any others that are likely to be on their way out soon and if so any symptoms to listen for before I hit 60k and they wont be covered?

We have done lower front arms on two D3's and a Sport this week.

Makes them drive well again after you fit them and have the alignment sorted.
